Step-by-step guides

Tutorial 1 · About 1 minute

Log a meal manually

Add what you ate and keep the final numbers in your control.

  1. 1

Open NutriScan and choose the option to add a meal.

  2. 2

Enter the foods and portions you want to remember.

  3. 3

Review the carb, protein, and fat values and adjust anything that needs changing.

  4. 4

Save the meal to place it on your daily timeline.

Manual meal logging is available without an AI scan.

Tutorial 2 · About 2 minutes

Review an AI food scan

Use a photo to start an estimate, then check it before saving.

  1. 1

Choose the camera scanner and photograph the full plate in clear light.

  2. 2

Wait for NutriScan to identify foods and prepare an estimated nutrition breakdown.

  3. 3

Check the confidence indicator, ingredients, portions, and estimated values.

  4. 4

Edit anything that does not match your meal, then save the reviewed entry.

Basic photo scanning is free with an iOS app account; Pro adds unlimited scans. AI results are estimates, not treatment guidance.

Tutorial 3 · About 1 minute

Track glucose alongside your day

Add a reading and view it next to meals, movement, and treatments.

  1. 1

Open the glucose logging option from your daily view.

  2. 2

Enter the reading shown on your meter or other source.

  3. 3

Choose the correct time and add an optional note for context.

  4. 4

Save the reading and review it on the daily timeline.

NutriScan records information; it does not recommend treatment or insulin doses.

Tutorial 4 · About 3 minutes

Share eligible data through Apple Health

Choose what eligible health information NutriScan may read on your iPhone.

  1. 1

Open NutriScan settings and choose the Apple Health connection.

  2. 2

Continue to the iPhone permission screen.

  3. 3

Review each requested category and allow only the information you want to share.

  4. 4

Return to NutriScan and confirm that the connection is active.

Dexcom or FreeStyle Libre information appears only when eligible data is shared through Apple Health.

Tutorial 5 · About 2 minutes

Set up gentle reminders

Create prompts for meals, treatment logging, or target-range check-ins.

  1. 1

Open reminder settings and choose the type of reminder you want.

  2. 2

Select a time and the days it should repeat.

  3. 3

Allow notifications when your device asks for permission.

  4. 4

Save the reminder. You can return later to pause, change, or remove it.

If notifications are off, enable them later in your device settings.

Tutorial 6 · About 1 minute

Use Care View together

Make the same device easier for a caregiver to read without changing entries.

  1. 1

Open NutriScan on the device where the information is stored.

  2. 2

Switch to Care View when you want to review the day together.

  3. 3

Read the timeline and notes without editing the original entries.

  4. 4

Exit Care View to return to the regular app experience.

Care View is local and read-only. It does not provide remote access or live account sharing.
