This policy covers the NutriScan website. For accounts, health records, AI features, and subscriptions in the iOS app, read the NutriScan iOS app privacy policy.
Who NutriScan is for
NutriScan accounts are for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect account data from, anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
iOS app vs. this website
You can create a NutriScan account or sign in on this website if you are 13 or older. The currently distributed iOS app is intended for adults 18 and older; eligible adults can use the same account in both places. Creating a web account asks for your name, email, a password, and a checkbox confirming you are 13 or older; the website does not ask for your date of birth to create an account or sign in. Signing in asks only for your email and password. Password resets use a one-time six-digit code sent to your email that expires after 15 minutes. Once signed in, the website reads your existing account records (meals, glucose, insulin, site, and sensor logs) through authenticated requests to the NutriScan backend and shows them to you read-only - edits and sync happen in the iOS app. This website does not store your health records in its own hosting database and does not sell subscriptions. What this website collects
Messages you send through the contact form (name, email, subject, message, newsletter choice) are stored with our hosting and database provider so we can reply. If you use the food finder, the ZIP code or location you enter is sent to Google Maps to find nearby places and is not saved to an account. Our hosting platform reports website visit counts by page, traffic source category, country, and device category. When you follow an App Store link, our server increments a daily click total and redirects you to Apple; that count does not store your identity, IP address, or a cookie. We do not use Microsoft Clarity session recordings or heatmaps on this website.
Fonts, images, and hosting
The website's font and photos are served from getnutriscan.com itself, so loading a page does not send requests to Google Fonts or Unsplash. Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard request information (such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested) in order to deliver pages and protect the site. If you run a food-finder search, the map shown with the results is loaded from Google Maps.
Your session on this website
When you sign in, the website keeps you signed in with a secure cookie that your browser cannot read with scripts. It holds only your account session - no health records - and expires on its own. Signing out removes it. NutriScan provides tracking tools and estimates, not medical advice; treatment decisions belong with your care team.
Payments
NutriScan Pro is purchased in the iOS app and processed by Apple. This website does not take payments.
Care View
Care View is a local, read-only mode on the same device. NutriScan does not provide remote account sharing, invites, or live caregiver access in this version.
How we use and protect it
Only to respond to you and run the website. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. Data is encrypted in transit, and access by our team is restricted.
Your rights
To request a copy or deletion of anything you sent through this website, email us; we'll confirm and respond within 30 days. For data in the iOS app, use the app's account settings or email us.
